Hey guys! I know I've been M.I.A lately. I'm a long distance commuter for my job and it has become increasingly difficult to find time/motivation to post. I have shot a few things that I plan on posting probably at the beginning of the year when things aren't quite as hectic. Happy Hanukah, Merry Christmas and Happy Kwanzaa and happy anything else you may be celebrating! Feel free to leave comments to let me know what your Holiday plans are. I for one am visiting with family from out of town. Enjoy the season guys! Thanks for staying with me!

Hey! This is a look I did using some of my favorites; pink shadows and SugarPill! I really wanted to do a bright look yesterday and I think this nailed it! ;-) When using super pigmented shadows only put a tiny bit of shadow onto a moderately fluffy brush (M.A.C #222). This makes it waaay easier to control so you don't get shadow in places you don't want it or just too much in general. I've made that mistake countless times and always wondered why all of my looks ended up being dramatic. That was it. No matter how bad you may want to it's not always necessary to load your brush with shadow. Believe me!

Peridot is a shade Chanel released for their Fall 2011 collection. I'd say it's a gilded mossy khaki green that flashes gold, teal and golden lime. I've never purchased any of their polishes before and I must say it practically applies itself! It's rich formula is packed with color and will appear on your nails as it does in the bottle.

There are so many trends going this spring, and one of my favorites is pairing light and deep colors. If you love wearing deep colors on your lips, you can still get that spring feel by using lighter eyeshadows and blushes for an ironic contrast. You can do the same by lightening your lips if you love dark eyes. This concept can be applied to any area of your face (or nails!).

Hey! This is a look I did using M.A.C's Wonder Woman Quad in Defiance. (Collection hits stores this Thursday the 10th so check it out!) This is such a pretty quad and it's gorgeous on deep skin! I just love the colors! SO pretty and Spring-y! The colored Opulash mascaras are fabulous too they're SO pigmented! I'm wearing the blue but I can't wait to nab the green! I didn't try out the purple yet but I have a feeling it won't disappoint! My photos are a little raw, and looking back at them I definitely would do a couple things differently. I thought I looked fine but a high def lens can clearly see things I couldn't! Oh well, it's about the makeup and colors right?! Onto photos!

This is a look I did using my new favorite eyeshadow M.A.C's Spectacle of Yourself. It was released as part of the limited edition Peacocky collection on January 6th. It's a deep reddened blackened copper brown. It's incredibly pigmented and has a metallic finish. (All of the shadows in Peacocky are a new limited edition finish called Mega Metal) I was totally blown away when I saw this color. I think it's one of the most gorgeous colors M.A.C has released in awhile and EVERYONE should give it a try! Now on to the look! :-)

Happy New Year Everyone! I know it's been awhile since my last post, but now that things aren't so busy I hope to post regularly again. This is a shimmery smokey look I did using M.A.C's Crushed Metal Pigments and Mineralize Shadows. They were so pretty next to each other sitting in my drawer that I decided to use them in a look! On to photos!
